I love the beginning of a new month, it always feels like a chance to start over, change what isn’t working and refocus on the good things in life. November is a particularly important month for me. With only a few weeks left until the end of the year, it’s time to ask myself: Have I accomplished all the goals I had in mind at the beginning of 2017? What can I do to achieve the missing ones?
But November is not only a month to work on the things that maybe aren’t working perfectly fine, it’s also a month that reminds us to be grateful for the good things we have in life and to share some of this luck with others. Remind a good friend how important she/he is for you, tell a colleague how much you appreciate her/his support at work, invite your lovely neighbours for a hot cup of mulling cider, surprise a loved one with a date night… Whilst they all sound so simple, I think we often forget to really appreciate people and good things in our life, so let’s be extra attentive this month.
And then there is also Christmas coming. EVERY year I tell myself this year I’ll be super prepared, no last minute Christmas gift hunting, no OMG I forgot to buy something for… I want to enjoy Christmas time and not run around like a crazy person. So, this year I’m planning on finishing all of the Christmas shopping (yes, ALL of it!) by the end of the month. I’ve actually already been quite busy and managed to find some lovely gifts- yeeey. Fingers crossed I’ll continue like this.
