I was craving some Vitamin Sea this week, so we spontaneously packed up the camper and drove South towards the coast. We ended up in beautiful south Hampshire and spent a day at Hayling Island. An empty pebble beach, foaming seagrass green water and rays of sunshine were waiting for us. It was so satisfying to listen to the braking waves and inhale the salty air. Not long ago we put an offer in for our first ever house – a blank 1950s house which needs a bit of love – and whilst the paperwork for the exchange is driving us nuts, the only thing that distracts me enough to keep me sane is the planning of how we (meaning I) are going to decorate everything. My mind is exploding with ideas and I can’t wait to finally get the keys to our new place, to start painting and decorating. Project number one will be the kitchen. It is a 1950s house in need of a bit of love, but in the beautiful village of Corsham. A historic village in the south of the Cotswolds, surrounded by beautiful nature and close enough for a day trip to Bath or Bristol.
